Asst. Prof. Dr. Napisa Waitoolkiat, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Naresuan University, visited Prof. Dr. Akiko Horiba, Senior Program Officer of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, on February 6, 2020. They discussed the current situation, challenges, and solutions in the Deep South, Thailand, and opportunities of various collaborations in realizing peace in the Deep South. Dr. Horiba appreciated CACS’s efforts in disseminating Deep South issues to younger generations outside the conflict areas and including these concerns onto Thailand’s national agenda. Dr. Horiba also invited Dr. Napisa to participate in the symposium on women for peace in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in July 2020
