The nations of Southeast Asia have come a long way. Intertwined throughout history by successive waves of migration, political dynasties, and trade, today they move forward—more quickly than ever—to closer integration. How will the future unfold for ASEAN’s 600+ million people, spread over 4.4 million square km, under the umbrella of this still-young experiment in regional cooperation and integration? The Center of ASEAN Community Studies of Naresuan University seeks to investigate just what that future holds in store—and what the challenges and opportunities will be.
