September 3, 2020 – Assistant Professor Dr. Udomporn Thirawiriyakul, Deputy Dean, attended the Thesis & Independent Study Innovation Award 2020. Organized by Naresuan University’s Graduate School, this contest project is open for its master’s and doctoral degrees students’ theses and independent researches of Academic Year 2019.
The Faculty of Social Sciences bagged several awards from this contest. Dr. Kamales Photikanit, lecturer of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and graduate alumni of the Social Development’s Doctor of Philosophy program, took the doctoral degree research award for the Humanities and Social Sciences on Teaching and Learning Innovation: “Social Policy Theory Book and Policy Criticism.” During the awarding, he was joined with his adviser and committee members, Associate Professor Dr. Patcharin Sirasunthorn, Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharaphon Puttaraksa, and Assistant Professor Dr. Thanida Boonwarano. The excellent thesis award for Doctoral degree in Humanities and Social Sciences was also awarded to Ms. Khemika Warit Wuttikul, Social Development, Doctor of Philosophy Program on her research work entitled “Guidelines for surface water management according to the Nan River Basin’s geospatial environment.” Her advisor and committee members were also present, Assistant Professor Dr. Radklao Premprasit, Dr. Supasit Tatana, and Dr. Nopparat Rattanapatum. Another award, through a Popular Vote from the Humanities and Social Sciences cluster, was presented to Mrs. Chimi Lham, a graduate alumnus of the Master of Arts program in Social Development, for her work on “Development Guidelines for Community Participation in Solid Waste Management in Barshong Chiwog, Naro Gewog, Thimphu Bhutan.” Presented with the award are her advisers and committee members, Assistant Professor Dr. Radklao Prem Prasit, and Dr. Nattaporn Opasanon.
The awarding ceremony was held at the 1st floor Hall of the Office of the President, Naresuan University
