Originally established in 1967 as a branch of the Royal Thai Ministry of Education’s College of Education, it grew into a campus of Srinakharinwirot University in 1974 and finally became its present incarnation—Naresuan University—in 1990. Today sixteen faculties offer instruction and research, along with twenty one “centers of excellence” that operate as research institutes, think tanks, and laboratories for new ideas and innovations across a wide range of disciplines—the sciences, tourism, business, health and medicine, and more.
